Since its first edition in 1980, the Velo-city conference has played a valuable part in promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transport for all. Every year, Velo-city brings together a growing number of more than 1400 Velo-citizens from over 60 countries who are involved in the policy, promotion and provision for cycling, active mobility and sustainable urban development. In 2022, Ljubljana, European Green Capital 2016 and a city committed to sustainable development, is hosting the event, that will take place from 14-17 June, 2022.
